Tool can suck it

I know I'll be in the minority when I say that the show was disappointing. Tricky was really good, Tool sucked compared to what I expected.

Main gripes:
1) 3 songs total not from lateralus.
In a 2.5 hour set, I expected to hear more than 1 song from opiate (opiate), and 2 songs from aemina (push it, stinkfist). Lateralus is a good album, but take away 2 songs and it sucks compared to the older stuff. How could they NOT play ANYTHING from undertow? Fuck that.
It's the last god damn night of the tour. No encore? The crowd was great; we were jacked up all night. and what do we get? Thanks, goodnight and the lights come on.
3) It was at the Tacoma Dome
Concerts should not be played in a half-sphere. The sound was impressive considering that, but still, it's no paramount. Also, if they hadn't had the seats set up in the dome, everyone could have fit on the floor. How are you supposed to rawk out when you're in a chair?

Nice things:
Tricky was awesome. Maynard did vocals on 2 of their songs, so later The Rastafari guy got his rap on, on another song tricky's drummer and Danny Lohner(!) played, then Tricky himself played satan during Opiate(ritual chanting and all). The projectors tool had were cool, and the stuff they played on the screens was pretty. Tool had a couple 'physical art' people, contortionists or whatever you want to call it. They hung upside down from the scaffolding above the stage on one song, bathed in glowing light, and did some cool dancing/gyrating/spinning stuff.

Tricky really sounds like Michael Wincott playing Philo in 'Strange Days' when he talks.

Overall, it was a good show, but I was expecting a mindblowing show. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I had been on the floor, and smoke hadn't given me a headache.
